Financial Aid for Study Abroad

Financial aid is available to students who enroll in a Study Abroad program. The types of aid available will depend on whether the Study Abroad program is a:

UR-Based Study Abroad During Fall or Spring Terms
UR-Study Abroad During a Summer Term
Non-UR Study Abroad

Financial aid for your Study Abroad program will be credited directly to your student account at Richmond 10 days before the first day of class at your study abroad program, assuming all applications and requirements are completed by the deadline date.

If the amount of financial aid exceeds your Richmond charges, you may be eligible for a refund, which can be used for other educational expenses related to your study abroad program.

Contact the Student Accounts office for information on how to obtain a refund.

UR Study Abroad During Fall or Spring Terms

The same types of assistance for which you may be considered during enrollment at Richmond are also available to you for a UR Study Abroad program during fall and/or spring terms.
