Merit-Based Aid

All first-year, degree-seeking applicants, including Early Action, Early Decision I, Early Decision II, and Regular Decision applicants are eligible to be considered for merit scholarships through the University of Richmond's robust merit-based aid programs.

All applicants for admission are automatically considered for the Richmond Scholars Program provided that they submit a complete admission application by December 1. The University's most prestigious academic awards, these scholarships are given to 25 incoming students and equal full tuition plus room and board.

Various other merit scholarships are awarded to incoming first-year students. Requirements vary, so be sure to review the selection criteria for any additional materials or deadlines if you wish to be considered.

A limited number of endowed merit scholarships are available for currently enrolled students.

All scholarship recipients are expected to maintain satisfactory academic progress; requirements vary by scholarship.
