  • Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

    Description

    Application for federal need-based aid and Federal Direct Loans.

    Submit the 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Our FAFSA Code is 003744.

    Deadlines

    • Prospective law students: February 25, 2024
    • Returning law students: May 15, 2024 (submit by March 1, 2024 if attending summer session)
  • Federal Direct Loans

    Description

    Students who have been offered Federal Direct Loans must electronically accept or decline all or a portion of their loans via BannerWeb.

    In order to be eligible for Federal Direct Loans, students will first need to submit the 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

    Upon receipt of your application materials, the Office of Financial Aid will review your application and determine your eligibility for loans. Once the Office of Financial Aid begins releasing award offers, you will receive an award offer notification advising you of your aid eligibility. (This information can also be viewed on your BannerWeb account.) You will then need to follow the instructions below to accept or decline all or a portion of your Federal Direct Loans.

    To accept or decline your loans:

    1. First-time borrowers only, complete the Authorization to apply Title IV funds by:

    • Accepting the Authorization of Title IV funds in BannerWeb. To accept your Authorization, follow instructions here.

    2. Accept or decline all or a portion of your Federal Direct Loans via BannerWeb. Instructions for doing so can be found here.

    3. First time borrowers only — complete entrance counseling and sign your Master Promissory Note electronically at studentaid.gov.

    Deadline

    In order to ensure your loans are processed and applied to your account by the first day of class, complete the above loan requirements at least six weeks prior to the first day of classes. If any of the above requirements are completed after that date, aid will be processed but it may not be available by the first day of class.

  • Federal Direct Grad PLUS Loan Application

    Description

    The application for a 2024-25 academic year Federal Direct Grad PLUS Loan for law students is completed online at studentaid.gov.

    In order to be eligible for Federal Direct Loans, students will first need to submit the 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

    Deadline

    In order to ensure your loans are processed and applied to your account by the first day of class, complete the above loan requirements at least six weeks prior to the first day of classes. If any of the above requirements are completed after that date, aid will be processed but it may not be available by the first day of class.

  • Summer 2024 Federal Direct Loan Application - Available March 2024

    Description

    The 2024 Summer Federal Direct Loan Application should be completed by students who want to apply for a Direct Loan for summer session 2024.

    In order to be eligible for Federal Direct Loans, students will first need to submit the 2024-25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

    Deadline

    In order to ensure your loans are processed and applied to your account by the first day of class, complete the above loan requirements at least six weeks prior to the first day of your summer session. If any of the above requirements are completed after that date, aid will be processed but it may not be available by the first day of class.
